Last Friday we went out on my buddy's $1.3m 65' yacht on Lake Michigan. It's his company's boat, but since he's the CFO, he shares the use of it with the other executives. 3br, 3bath, full bar/entertainment area, twin Caterpillar Diesel engines, 880 gallon fuel tank (Diesel is $4/gallon at the Marina, do the math). I just sat on the stern most of the time, BSing and drinking with my friends. The boat has a captain, so there's little to do other than drink and enjoy the view Here're some pictures I took.

Back in Burnham Harbor. There was a dock party going on, so lots of people there just hanging out on the boats. There was a concert going on at Northerly Island, and we heard Godsmack play, just like we were there. This boat was moored behind the one we were on, and has the coolest name plate I've ever seen. (LEDs did the lighting). It also had some massive spotlights under the water, so we could see all the fish swimming around. It was pretty-neat.

Yeah. I wanted one of the boat, but when you're on it, you can't get a good picture of it. When it's in harbor, there're too many packed around it to get a shot of a 65' long boat.

Single story above deck, long bow, helm placed near midsection, open area to the aft. There is one entrance below deck from the aft of the ship, to a separate bedroom/bathroom. The main area below deck is accessed from near the helm, down some stairs and you're in the bar area (with leather couches, surround sound theater) walking further to the front an you come to a bathroom, 2 bedrooms (one of which has the 3rd bath in it).

Sweet! I love boats. My wife's boss just got a 29 foot Cobalt. Twin 305's with A/C in the cabin.

It's no 65 foot yacht, but hey, I'll take it.
