Took my daughter to our local Minor league baseball game today. my ferry company has season tickets and they're free for employees. so we had great VIP seats behind homeplate. drank a bunch of beer, ate some hot dogs and craker jacks. the Ducks lost, but all and all a good nite. Kaylee had a blast and thats all that matters.

being that we're from long island, why would we follow other teams? im born and raised islanders. through the good years and the bad (mostly bad... haha) honestly i think she likes the islanders cuz she likes the mascott Sparky! o well as long as she cheers "lets go islanders" and knows that the rangers are the "bad guys" haha

Same reason I was a Whaler's fan, born and raised CT. All the other teams I route for are NY based.

John Cullen played for the Whalers. He has the same last name as me. I used to have his hockey card in elementary school and I used to tell people he was my uncle. Ha.

Your little girl is cute and I think it's awesome that you took her to the game. Good daddy! She is so tiny next to that duck. If I were her, I probably would have cried. lol.

that mascot looks 10 ft tall. I'd been scared to look at his crazy eye. And it takes a real dad to keep his daughter into sports(besides cheerleading), keep it up.

haha thanks guys. shes into a bunch of sports. she started playing soccer for our local town, she loves playin baseball and has her own set of golf clubs. haha

that duck looks like donald duck in a baseball uniform! Disney should sue!
