Damn...parking Lots

Okay so yesterday I was in a parking lot of a gas station. I stopped in my lane to let a car back out of his stall so I could take his spot. I was stopped for a few seconds when a 07 black Nissan Titan from IL rammed the back of me. He had a few minor scratched on his truck, where I received 2 moajor dents in my trunk, my bumper has about 11 scratches down to the primer, my tinted talight broke (cant really see since the vinyl is holding it together) and cracked my spoiler in 2 spots. So you think he would be at fault, right? Wrong since it was in a parking lot..i.e private property the rules change and the accidents is considered we are both at fault. That bastard cost me $500.00 of which I could of used to do more mods to the car. Damn drivers piss me off a lot!

dont think it would be worth it for 500, but it just sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen. i mean you were stopped entirely...

NO! He was at fault. Pure an simple and thats how insurance should be playing it. Here in no fault heaven(florida), i was in a parking lot accident and since the other guy was stopped, my insurance company said i was at fault. SO you need to rework this over with your insurance company. I hope you got all the info.

the other guy is at fault. My previous vehicle (an SUV) was totaled in a parking lot while parked because an old man decided to ram his friend's lexus into my suv in addition a handicap sign mounted to a cement boulder.

His insurance company paid out to like 5 people since 5 cars were damaged, but of course my SUV was the only one totaled since I was head on.

You need to fight with the other guys insurance since you weren't moving either.
