Yellow foglights yay/nay?

I was thinking about getting the same stuff TheKoreanSaab has on his kdm fogs and putting them on mine and getting the 3000k hid for the fogs. Any opinions on the look? here is a nasty chop for reference.

not on your car, with the paint scheme you have

other cars, yellow fogs would be fine. i do hear they help a lot in the rain though

I have yellow bulbs on my black 03 hatch with the OEM fogs (no yellow vinyl or anything) - it looks good because the car is black and has the non-circular fogs...

on your car anything but white would look strange... maybe if just the bulb was yellow so it wasn't so intense when the lights are off... but since your paint scheme is so custom I would stick to white bulbs myself.

I used Stained Glass paint from Michael's. It's an arts and crafts store. Over a year and a half later, they still function well, and are still yellow.

But if you are looking for Yellow Emitted Light, then pic up a set of 2800K H.I.D.'s, not the 3K HIDs. The 2800 are true Yellow, no white what-so-ever. And that is my next move. I intend to use paint thinner and remove the yellow paint from the projectors and install these H.I.D.s.

Yellow is better for cutting through fog and rain but get yellow bulbs, don't paint your lenses. The bulbs below are H1s from Superlumination.com (http://www.superlumination.com/), which are for the XD2. I'm not sure what the bulb type is for the XD, but the prices are the same.

i have piaa fogs that are yellow....they are bad ***....but yellow lenses....i wouldnt do that on your car...kinda throws everything off..

I agree with Evan. They won't work at all with your new paint scheme (which again, is awesome).

Yeah, yellow lenses on the larger GLS fog lights are not good. Your car would pretend to look like a rally car with street flair. Yellow bulbs, or the Yellow HID kits, will yield you what you are looking for in appearance and safety, without making the front bumper look off.
