You can take away as well as add. Weight reduction. Lose unnecessary things, such as things in the trunk.

Jimbo. For all the new people I've seen you have posted the most vague, useless, and searchable threads ever. Please, refrain yourself from doing that in the future. But I know that even with me telling you this, you will continue doing it.

In the Do It Yourself section you will find a bunch of performance mods that are easy to perform.
From your post it appears that you are on the right track...and if you check out the tips in the DIY...you'll get it right.
Numerous questions you may have can be answered by using the search function on this site...
Not trying to be an azz at all...but there is a wealth of information at your fingertips here at ElaXD...
And on a final note...welcome to the community!
------------------
Now on a second note (and not only because of responses related to this post)...everyone has been at a point where they are new to modding, new to online communities and all that stuff...so let's keep the responses civil.
The amount of hostility lately on some of the posts lately is just crazy...
And if I get crap for saying it...oh well...
Peace,

CAI, muffler, catback exhaust, header, pulleys, adjust timing if you can, get a new ECU, lightweight flywheel and performance clutch, some sticky tires, start replacing body panels with carbon fiber, glass windows with polycarbonate, light wheels, remove all unnecessary seats, trim and carpet... or go FI, I guess.

Uhh... Get a different car with a bigger engine or more horsepower? Or for small gains look at the DIY threads.
