I would just like to say:

**** Castle Hyundai in New Castle, Delaware, **** their employees, and lastly, **** Hyundai USA and their ****ing mothers with ****ing baseball bats dipped in ****ing hot glue and rolled around in large ****ing chards of broken glass. **** them until it bleeds, and then **** them until they lose consciousness. Dump a bucket of cold water on their heads to wake them up, then **** them once again until all that's left is a bloody mess and exposed pelvic bones.

It appears as if I will be the next person to visit the lovely arena of arbitration with Hyundai USA, as the result of my most recent trip to the dealership. Here's the story:

Sunday afternoon, while taking cruising around my town, I noticed that, while I was in drive, my dashboard indicated that I was in neutral. I pulled into a parking lot, and moved the shifter around between gears (I have an auto), to find that none of the gears on the shifter were corresponding with the readout on the dash. Eerie, I thought, so I kept driving a little bit. A few miles later, the car falls out of gear, into neutral, and it won't move. After sitting the shoulder a while, I managed to get it back into gear enough to return home. The next morning, I had my car towed to the dealership. Unfortunately, they didn't have an opening until today, so I had to take a rental car for four days.

I call this afternoon to find out the status, and they tell me that both my transmission and engine warranties are voided because of the aftermarket parts. I am used to this by now, because as we all know, your average service worker/manager is a ****ing retarded about the warranty. The reason, however, is what caught me by surprise. My transmission warranty is apparently voided because I have a different-sized wheel on my car, and my engine warranty is voided because I have an intake. Oh well, I've had service department ignorance lead me down the same path before, so I gave a call to the Hyundai Dispute line. This time, I get some stupid, ebonics-speaking cunt, who tells me that they are going to back the regional rep who denied my claim. As such, I have to take Hyundai to ADR, and eventually take the course of civil action (because you know the mother****ers won't make a decent offer, if any).

Once again, **** them all.

what do you mean by different sized wheel? how different? that may actually cause some damage to the tranny, although it seems a bit extreme.

and what's wrong with the engine? or did they just tell you, FYI, its warranty is voided.

not to rub it in at all, but that's why i stay clear of engine mods, which in the end, only give a few hp. with my luck this **** would happen to me and i'd be imprisoned for killing someone out of rage.

They're 17's, and for legal purposes, it doesn't matter if it could cause damage, it only matters if it does and they can prove it.

Guys,
Unfortunately I know waaaaay more about the MMWA than I'd ever want to know due to a previous case I was involved in. I have no doubt I'll win in court, but it's just a huge pain the balls.

Yeah man, get those assholes. The problem with your engine is most likely the faulty transmission!!

I don't even see where their logic begins in saying the wheels caused it... sure, if you had some little 13's on there trying to increase some pulling power, maybe... but I'm sure your overall wheel diameter is similar to stock, which is what should matter in this instance.

Good luck to you... let 'em have it, and get a little extra cash in the civil suit... Punitive Damages for being @ssholes.

I think you just won the prize for the most "bad" words in any single post, congrats. Oh, and good luck with everything. That loud *** system of yours could have rattled the engine and tranny so much that everything got messed up, hahaha.

what a bunch of *****es, I really hate stupid people. the cuntbag service advisor told me that using gear fluid that was aftermarket voided the warranty, apparently even if it was the right specifications. I just told her yeah, whatever, put it in anyway.

in the words of a Texan, "Get um"

Here's what you do... walk into the dealership with a shotgun and inform them that "this aftermarket part is going to void your warranty".

I hope you didn't paint your interior because the extra weight it adds could of had something to do with the tranny problem.........good luck

Hey Wicked one,

Take a copy of The Magnuson-Moss Act and this to the dealership.

Well, at this point...are you willing to take the car in elsewhere for a second opinion? Dealerships differ...they might not give you a hard time at the other place although I understand you are pissed out of your mind.

Actually, I dropped my car off this morning at the dealer I bought it from. Hopefully things will work out. I still plan on filing suit to be compensated for my rental cars and lost work time either way, but maybe I can get this thing settled.

And Faraco, I keep copies of MMWA at home, in my car, and at work. Like I said, I've had to use it in court before, so I'm about sick of reading it.

Work warnings are not necessary for just typed messages.

Perhaps, but I got "warned" for another post of mine in the past. Don't worry, I'll post porn next time and won't leave you hangin'.

We appreciate the work warning simply because of the amount of "bad" language in the post.
