Cd player question

I took the stock cd player out of my elantra , my mom has an elantra too her's is a 03 mine is a 02 well she has a tape player can i just take out her radio and put mine in or will i have to modify any of the wiring

No modifying, it's an easy swap. That's actually one of the first couple mods I did because I bought a base model with the cassette deck. Have fun. And oh, you are such a good son, haha.

I'm starting another thread on a related topic. I bought a used unit on eBay from a 2003 Hyundai Sonata that I thought would plug right in but doesn't. I don't know if the problem was because they were different year cars, because they were different models, or because the other car might not have had 6-speaker premium sound. When you get them both out, make sure they are designed to work with the same Ohm speakers and draw the same current (Amps).
