I'm thinking about getting one...but I've never really messed around with it before...it has one or two games that I like, but I need more than that to justify getting one...

So, does anyone here have one?
If so, what do you use it for?
What kind of actual battery life do they have?

i lost mine but i used it mostly for storing photos and using it as a digital scrapbook. I also used it to go online alot while on campus. I actually only have lumines for it because i used my Nintendo DS for games. But there are alot of games out now I would buy but im gonna wait for the slim version to come out.

My kids each have one (total of 3), and now with the price drop I probably will be buying one soon. It has wireless built in for surfing, if that is what you want to do. Plus with the stuff you can find on the web for free (don't buy the psp media manager it is a waste of money - been there done that) you can convert movies to mpeg4 and watch them anywhere. The kids have 4 or 5 movies and a ton of mp3's on a 2 gig memory stick. The games are pretty good too, they have quite a few of those too.

edit* I believe their battery life is in the 3 to 4 hour range, but you can also buy longer lasting batteries.

The screen is beautiful.

Other than that it's a paperweight in my book (everyone should know my love for Sony by now, ha).

I have one and i love it and there is more things you can do with it than what is was made to do if you are running custom firmware. you can find out more at

http://pspupdates.qj.net/

I also have a Ds but i find the psp more useful, memory sticks for the psp go from 512mb to 8gig of storage as of now, but at comic-con they said by next year they will go up to 16gig, that alot of space already to store whatever you want on it.

The DS has the same thing, you can either buy the adapter with the fixed memory or one that you add what ever size stick you want. And you can watch dvd's on it too.
