when i will go to the states to work, did i need an greencard or gave it an other way to work in the US ??

who are you going to work for ? It is a catch 22 here, you need a job to get a greencard but you also need a green card to work here. The INS here is aweful & they don't give good answers.

you might have to get a job at a Hamburger place or somehting like that to apply for a green card

I would check with your contacts in Germany before you get here. INS or what ever they are called today are not very helpful with Germans (I have a German friend that tried to come decades ago.

Sorry for the confusing answer. MY D-I-L (daughter in law) got a Fiance visa so she could work , it took 88 days to get processed & it was only good for 90 days, so there was 2 days left on it when she got it.

Hopefully some one else has better info than I do.

Well yeah, you'll definitely need a Visa/Greencard.

Is your job transferring you over here? If so, they might be able to arrange something.

so i would work as an Sugar baker :P in an bakery but i 've no job now. So i will see possibly an job in the US but the Green-card is hard to become here in germany :(

Hi, I'm not an expert at this but,how about student visa ?Aplly for that, you have to stay somewhere, eat something,get where ever you are going to.Meaning you need a job to make money to pay for all that.Hence working permit(green card)That also means you have to attend colladge,nothing big,small comunity colladge will do.Hope this helps;)

No not realy B,works only for few months,depending on state laws.BTW once they give him the green card he'll get SS# and DL will be no problem.Cops can sometimes get fussy if you show them only passport,he'll be beter of with DL
