Got New Ink Today!

Just got home after a short day at work. i was supposed to work at 4pm, but i was 3 hours late. i had priorities today, and #1 on my list was get some new INK. My tattoo guy as a 5-6 week waiting list for appointments, so this was long wait for a tattoo. here are the pics:

Its a Diving Swallow. Its an old Salior tradition to get a tattoo of a swallow for every 5,000 nautical miles sailed. i have 13k miles under my belt so i got two. its supposed to show a sailors expirience. anyway, after looking at it in the mirror, im thinking about adding on to it. possibly having some manilla rope going through the birds mouths and connecting to an anchor at the center of my chest. we'll see. next couple of days are gonna suck as it leaks ink and bleeds..... lots of fun!

Those are bright tats ... nice. I bet that's kind of a sensitive area to be pounded by a needle. Hope they heal quickly. Just keep them "lubed" and covered.

Have you crossed the equator yet so you can get your ears pierced?

At first I was like, "are you serious - you got brightly colored birds on your chest?" But after the explanation about being a sailor and swallows, it is much neater.

I personally won't get a tatoo myself, but think they are cool if they have meaning - not just your typical "look at my tatoo, it's barbed wire on my arm and I think it makes me look tough."

Just to warn you, it hurts like a *****! I got both done over a year ago, but the right one kept getting infected, so I just have the left in now. (The second one hurts worse by the way...)

LOL, when i got my nipple pierced, the guy put the clamp on and i was like are you done...... he just laughed and then stabbed me! i'll sit through a 6 hour tat before i get my nipple pierced again.

the colar bone hurt on the outline, once he switched to shading it was alot easier. i think im definately going to do the anchor idea eventually. i have a half sleeve being drawn up right now, but god only knows when i'll be able to afford it.

i worked all night last night with no shirt on. it was leaking ink, and customers were either like "nice new tat" or giving me dirty looks. o well. today sucked at work cuz it was like 95 degrees and i had to wear a shirt.

Looks really good!!! awesome tats dude! I got 2 new ones in march the day before i got married ( I figured i might as well make as many lifelong commitments as i can in one week).:D I got my daughters name on my forearm and i got 3 stars and a bloody broken heart and halo behind my left ear (talk about a painful tat). I have yet to get it touched up as i gotta muster up the balls to sit through it again....

and the only tat i dont have a photo of is on my back.... its a sun with a wave around it and it was my first. my friend drew it for me, i got it when i was 18 and all i did was wake up before the sun and go to the beach to surf. i love the sunrise at the beach.... i love the sunrise in open ocean better, its nicer when theres no land to get in the way.

i got writing on my wrist a while back. "La Bella Vita" which is italian for the beautiful life, in a nice cursive and that hurt a little because the soft skin and nearly exposed vains and bones so i can only imagine the elbow to be a *****.

I have tats on both of my wrist no pain at all! The one behind ny ear hurt like a BIAaaaaaaTCH though.
