dang!
he's lucky he hit the bottom of the transition though... If he hit the flat bottom, he'd be really messed up. (just a couple more feet and flat... he would have been flattened).

(we are talking about the skateboarder, right? im at work and cant see the video, but i heard some guy on a bike got ****ed up too)
he was far enough out that he did hit the flattened part...he didnt slide at all...he went straight down.

thats a lot of force when your damn shoes fly off, lol. Nice 720 though, great smooth landing, minus the speed wobble.

I was flipping between the X games and Southpark last night and had just flipped back to the X games when that happened. I was like Holy Crap! I was really amazed to see him walk off, but he was in a lot of pain when he walked off. I was also really happy to see Bob run to check on him right after he found out he won Gold.

ouch, the shoes comin off was probably cause most skaters don't tie their shoes and wear em loose and such, at least the ones I've known.

Yeah, I'm with Max on this one, HA HA!
I was watching the coverage today and they said he seems to be doing alright for suffering a 40-50 foot drop. That's what happens in "extreme" sports. I'll stick with my THPS for now, ha.

I can't get over how far his shoes went. I don't care who you are, that hurt!
