Not many know that I recently went to Texas to pick up my new winter project. The Tiburon is still fun, and is going no where, but I needed the V8 power. I picked up a 1955 Chevrolet Belair two door roller for $3,000. The car has no engine or transmission, but is rust free and has all of it's original stainless steel trim, which is rare for these cars. Pictures to come as I just got home.

My family owns a 55 belair with just a 350 in it and its great fun. We also have a 67 camaro with a 350 built to a 383 and that thing runs low 12s all day on street tires.
Damn you!!!!!! lol that is a steal for that year car.A buddy of mine has a yellow 55 with a 454 and th350.The car is capable of low 12's and is a total sleeper. You will have tons of fun wrenching on a classic car.Sooo much room to work with
Car Craft and Chevy High Performance magazines will be your new best friends

Heh, My Dad's family has a 2000 Crown Vic detectives car. I want them to keep it so as to have fun with it. But i think they may be wanting to sell it. Not totally sure tho.
Unless its within 50 miles of me, its not happening. That and I need to find a suitcase of cash too...

Sorry, but that doesn't top a '55 BelAir. But if your family decides to sell it, I want first dibs. I've always wanted to make a Crown Vic look like the car from Taxi, Vortech inside too.
Yamaha, all I can say is WOW!!! That is like the best price I've ever heard of. Just the bodies can go for almost $10,000. And the build up, do you plan to do the build with your father. A project like that, the two of you should definitely work on it. Just don't spend too much money, as you do have the Hyundai to continue working on (maybe?).

Damn man, you came to TX and didn't call??? J/K. I am glad that my state is good for old Chevrolets. Great find, and I'll give you another day before I post the smilies. :)
