View Full Version : 5th Pgh meet -- Place to stay for up to 4 people

*** Edit *** my house is full for the meet now ***

Anyone, up to maybe 4 people, who were at the first meet (the one I went to) or who I've met (knottravesty) are welcome to crash at my place on Friday night or Saturday night. I really can only take 4 people, because I don't want to overwhelm the wife.

There's on-street parking for ~6 cars or so (a quiet secondary street, not a lot of traffic) right outside my house. I'm about 20 - 30 minutes away from Monroeville; probably 10 - 15 minutes from Yamaha's.

We've got a guest bedroom with a full-size bed (which would sleep a couple), the couch and some floor space. We've also got a somewhat level rear yard if someone wants to "pitch a tent" (no pun intended ;) ) and a screened in porch / hammock.

You have to like cats -- we have 4 of them. One of the four is very friendly and will probably try to sit in every available lap at least once.

If you'd like to crash at my place, please post "dibs" in this thread, then PM me for directions.

even though im pretty sure i got a spot set as seans, i just want to say thats very generous of you to put that offer out there...will definitely help out some people from sleeping on a hardwood floor or having to spend cash on a hotel room

If you have no problem with it, both myself and Bryan (Bcoleman) would like to call dibs on a place to crash for the meet.

OK, I've got 04GTboySC, PSUsouthpaw and Bcoleman staying. No Problem.

I'm going to have to cut off the number at three. I told my wife last night, and she's a bit upset. That may change, though. I'll keep you posted.

At least you got some nice, well-behaved guys staying with you. If it were Sean, Jim, and Ish they would have trashed the place within hours...broken tables and such. ;)

Be careful -- I might just swap my keys for one of them... That's the color I wanted in a GT hatch, but they didn't have it in '02 :(.

^ I could fly you for free. But then, my header would be no good to you then.

Thank you very much for opening your house up to "almost" strangers. You are the man. Well, actually, thank the wife for us, as she's the one who is truly in charge:D

Yup. I will be there as far as I'm concerned. Bryan (Bcoleman) can vouch for me. I'll bring the Tidal wave almost GT sedan.

Anything we should bring along to make things easier for you?

Ummm.... Noooo... You can't have the header just yet. I was commenting on the fact someone had said about switching keys and taking your car and you have no way to get home. Which means you wouldn't have a car, and therefore, wouldn't need my header.

Nice and Well behaved? Who ever said anything about that? Although if mass drinking does occur, I think that we'll be the ones getting trashed rather than the house.

Why? I said we'd be getting trashed, not the house.

Don't worry. My drinking has never resulted in any destruction of property.

Nah... I don't mind if you guys drink. I don't just 'cause I started feeling like crap the next day after even a few beers, and my wife was never much of a drinker. There's no problem if you guys want to drink... except that you have to give me your keys.

yeah... that's it! I need your keys it's to keep you guys from driving drunk...

It has nothing to do with me wanting a blue Elantra hatchback...

Nothing at all...

Anyway, I was planning on swapping car keys with one of you guys. That means you get to take home my 2002 red GT and I get to keep a blue GT hatch. Of course, I'm taking the Tib seats out of my car first...

Cypher

Well then, I guess that will be Scott's car, since I don't drink (except once every blue moon). And no, the Tib seats would have to stay.
