.rar video file help

i have a video file that was sent to me in 2 parts but i only got the 1st one. when i try to extract it with win rar it says it is not possible unless i have part 2. is there anyway i can force this file to extract? when double click it it lets me view the title and it is a .wmv file.

if you had part already extracted there would likely be a way to play the bit that you have, but as far as i know winrar will NOT extract without every part. Which sucks when your missing part 50 of a 50 part file..

Try using 7zip (http://7-zip.org/) and then VLC (http://www.videolan.org/) if 7zip can extract the file. If you dont have both parts of the file it will show up as corrupt but VLC will still usually play the parts that are readable.
