got a new pc have ?'s

Okay i gotta new hp custom built 4 gigs of ram, dual core pentium, 250 gig h/d and VISTA home premium
My question is does anyone have any experience with vista??? I need to get used to it does anyone one know anything about it? I like the setup of it and all that. I don't understand it at all I hooked up my cable modem to it and Boom i'm on the interweb i didn't have to set anything up? But i really miss my setup on the old pc. I don't wanna hook them together to transfer as the old one has a an infection. If i'm not being specific enough please let me know.

you didnt actually ask a question. You said said that you like the setup but mis your old setup. and you said that it connected auto to the web. which is fine and normal and it will see the net connection and look for dhcp and just work when it ips. if you think the old pc is virused then dont hook them together, just pick and choose files you need if any and try to virus scan them if you can.

as far as exp with it, what are you really looking for? i mean its the same as xp, all the old menus are basically still there everything is just shifted around and alot of things take an extra click to get where you need to be. But its all there, ive been running it since beta and yeah its compatability still kinda sucks, but all in all the intereface is just fine, its just like a tweaked xp really.. and theres even a classic style to make it look like xp anyway :P
