In the "wheels with pictures thread" Evan said they'd probably come out with see-through wheels next before the thread got closed. Well, Evan, they already did. I found these pics a few years ago on another forum. People were making fun ouf how the guy has see-through wheels with the base model 350Z brakes (non-Brembo).

you missed this

LOL

i was being a smart *** and mentioning something else that has been out for a good amount of time, but after the pimpstar wheels were out

i was saying that since he posted about something that has been out for almost 2 years, that those would be coming out next (since they already have).

Yup! DOT/SAE approved and street legal.

Hahah. You'd need a great set of pads/rotors with those. And when they get dirty, wouldn't it be hard to clean since they're solid? You'd have to like remove the whole wheel? Or am I seeing this incorrectly?

if i had those i would have those crazy brakeman rotors to show off the wheels even more.

those with a bbk would look sweet on our cars if they made them in 17" or 18".

They also have the complete hollow rim out. I've seen them mostly on motorcycles. They are also really neat. I'll try to find a link later. google: "hollow rim" or something like that.

I like (until I see them all over ricer civics).

We agree, it looks too good to be a wheel, and costs too much to be bought, at least by us. At $5,000 per wheel, they’re mainly showpieces, though the video we link to shows a 350Z with the Radurras on, doing some rubber burning. We imagine people will talk about stress resistance, heat resistance and whatnot, though the company claim they’ve been “SAE tested, certified and passed Impact, cornering and radial tests.”

you will never see a civic with a set of these

i dont know many people who would drop 5k on a SET of wheels

Nice! Only need some glass cleaner to take care of the rims.

I saw those in a SEMA recap last year. And like Hybrid said, they would be hard as hell to keep clean. They would go from nice to rice in a hurry.
