Greetings. Was there a heated seat option for the 2001 Elantra GLS?

Welcome to EXD.
Take a look at this thread:

TagsToy and I are the only ones that have used the Korean parts to make it happen. I believe there are some Elantras in Canada that come (or used to come) standard with heated seats as well.

Not from the dealers here IIRC, but some people on here (SuperGLS) have installed them.
they are available at www.dreamka4u.com

I emailed them for my specific car. Still no answer.
What if I bought the OEM pads for the later year Elantras? I wonder if I could use OEM wire kits and run it into the fuse box? I think I need to continue my research.
I just received the price from www.dreamka4u.com 225.00 . Can someone tell me who is this company? Are they from the USA? Are these OEM parts? And do they supply all wiring for the car that did not have heating seats as an option?

they are not usa but they are super reliable. i've ordered many things from them and usually takes 9-14 days shipped from Korea. BUT i've gotten things in as little as 7 days

Buy it from them without hesitation. Both Tagstoy and myself went through them for our setups. Just be sure you give them ALL of the information for your car (year, trim level, interior color etc). Actually, why don't you post all that info here and I'll try to help you out.

DreamKa4U is a fantastic company. Very easy to work with, reasonably priced, almost every part is OEM from Korea, and their products arrive pretty darn quick for being half a world away.
And as suggested by Super, posting your info here will be beneficial for you and Super can help you out along the way.
Good luck !

Okay Super, 2001 Elantra GLS. The color is Champagne. Paint code KO. Same color seats. I guess I am just concerned about how to hook the pads up in a car that was never designed to have them.

Ok, well, you'll need the same stuff that I got. If you would like, tell Dreamka4u that you need the same thing James/SuperGLS ordered earlier this year. The kit comes with all the wiring you need (unless you need to extend the wiring for any reason), the seat pads, the switches, and the front console switch plate which makes it look OEM.
Did you look at the DIY in that other thread? The setup is a little different in the XD than the XD2, but, it's pretty similar.

Did you remember how much the kit cost? Can you send me a pic of the installed switch?

I just went out to take these pics. You can see you get the silver piece that replaces the current black "pocket" and the the switches fit into them. The HOLD switch doesn't do anything (but could be wired to do whatever you want in the future, it's used with the Korean handsfree cell phone deal). Then there is the right and left seat pad buttons. They are just one temperature, it's not selectable like in later year Hyundais.
