header install?

i went to get my header installed at this place i always go to and they said they could not install it. they said that they will get fined for installing it or some crap like that because it is illegal. so i was wondering does anybody know anyplace that will install a header for me in va?

Where did you go? I don't really know any places, but there is a place called EB3 Motorsports near my work, apparently they work on "Imports, Domestics... Whatever" so that might be a good spot to check out. I've never been there but I've seen lots of drag cars out in front (CRX's, Civics, old Mustangs, etc). It's on Lee Road in Chantilly (20151) right off Route 50 (and just west of 28).

i went to that place off rt 50 just past 28. its called high tech truck and auto. its out past the coca-cola plant.
i have the evo-fusion 4-2-1 header. i probably would like to go to your house odessit so i can learn how to install it. how much do u charge? when do you get your springs 04gtboy?

well, i was quoted at different shops about $250-400 since they said it would be 3-4 hours or work and I found it to be rediculus, went and installed it myself. after that i had to install and reinstall it on my other car couple of times and once i did was able to install it in hour and 25 minutes, but since i did it a couple of times before i didnt have any problems with rusted bolts or anything so it was really easy to take anything off. if u think u have rusted bolts please spray bw40 or something before coming to be, and spray it couple of times.

how much would u be willing to give out for the install man?

im suposd to get the springs this week somtime, there coming from GA i'll pay for lunch or somthin if you wanna help me out guys or if not i'll just go up for the drive :) and show off my hatch back

350 for headers install? damn...i went to a place here in town and asked them what it would cost for them to install the cat-back and headers (before i knew how to do it) and they said around 50$ a piece...so 100$ish for headers and catback...you are getting raped. :wtf:

odessit does $50 sound good? ill even throw in a case of beer if u want! let me know how that sounds. i would say $100 but street racing syndicate comes out tomorrow. it looks like a good game.

thats what i was quoted.... Baltimore area seems to be expensive in everything, its pain in the as* to find a good deal here. Thats y i went and did it myself :)

so yeah, $50 and some beer is great :)

how old is your car? can you check how rusted your bolts are???

cuz i had to take my tibby to the shop once to unscrew the bolts ones cuz my impact wrench couldnt even get them, they were really rusted; and they guy spent 40 minz unscrewing and scrwing back 7 bolts.... it was really bad.

If everything goes well tomorrow I will be installing my springs and hopefully will be done by the end of the night, so you guys can come over on Sunday and I will help scott and install header for vahyundai :)

vahyundai, how are the bolts? mainly check the exhaust ones, they tend to get really hard to take off... spray lots of wd40 and wait, then spray some more and hit them with the hammer, then wait and spray some more!

Scott, you can come too, but if don't know what you are doing it you will not finish before the end of the night..... I will help ya out as much as I can, but I have to be somewhere on Sunday night.

If there is not rusted bolts on your header or exhaust the install should not take more than 2 hours :)
