Hey there Elantra peeps.
I'm new on this site.
Not new to hyundai since I'm a former scoupe addict (4 types in 7 years)
http://www.cardomain.com/id/pancilaan 4 pics
But it was time for something new, so I bought an Elantra yesterday.
It's the facelift model, former demo hehe,(2.0 16v cvvt dynamic) I made it delivery ready for it's first drive back in 2003:abovelol:
I work at a hyundai dealer for over 7 years now.
Anyway, this Elantra is going to be worked on.
Not as extreme as the scoupe, but smooth and clean.
Pics will follow.
Tips, tricks and links about the Elantra are more then welcome, since I hardly know anything for this car.

Some thing are already done...
Clear side flashers.
Monday I'll be getting a simple spoiler set
Tuesday wax-oil treatment for the XD
Wednesday installing my old sound
Thursday my mid muffles will be gone(no end tip, clean style)
And in the weekend may be I will start by tinting my windows or painting some interior items.
Still doubting if I will go and mount my leather racing seats in the XD, but I rather have this interior full leather.
MMhh oh well, enough idea's already.
Just want to know which brand of springs will surely lower it with 40mm
It really has to be slammed to the ground

Mid pipe is going to be removed this week for a little more exhaust sound, but the end tip is going to stay for the clean look.
I am receiving a lip set today which is very decent but smooth
There won't be going on any spoilers, except maybe a simple lip for the booth.
Going to order the eye brows this week, and then I'm off for a nice lowering.
Anybody has any tips for the best comfortable lowering for about 4 cm's(guaranteed 4 cm's I mean then)
Oh well, I'm off on my free monday to go and make some adjustments to my new ride

So had a busy day today.
Mine from the front:
http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/7/web/2863000-2863999/2863148_5_full.jpg
Removed the logo's off the trunk and put in some red bulbs for my rear flasher lights.
http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/7/web/2863000-2863999/2863148_4_full.jpg
Mounted my old blue led-lights for city-light:
Daytime pic:

Furthermore:
Cleaned under the hood and put some rust protection on some places.
Put in a switch between my electric antenna.
Did the clutch mod(GREAT mod, thnx for the DIY :abovelol: )
When I turned the steering wheel I heard a little sound, so I mounted a hose clamp at the steering shaft, and gone was the sound.
I set the clock to 24h and tinted my 3rd brake light, so that if I brake, the letters 2.0 GLS will be visible.
(would have done more, but a friend of mine came by with his coupe, in which I mounted an electric antenna and white gauges, and some other smal stuff)
More will come soon .......

I have informed at EvoFusion today for the Tuscani front bumper.
I noticed about the pre-buy on this forum, but it's already in progress I think.
But this is definately the front I want on the Elantra, it's nice, mean and clean.
Just the way I want to go with my new car.
But I haven't sean any rear bumpers like this, I haven't seen a clean version.
The skirts I have fit nicely, but I want to see, how they are when the front bumper is on, I think they will be too high in comparison.
Oh well, a lot to do

Yesterday I was working in my garage and cleaning up a little bit, when I found some pieces of left over leather from the scoupe(black leather)
Since I already had to finish off the compo set in the door, I took of the right doorpanel and teared it apart.
I'm going to paint the plastic piece, but that will come later.
But I've made a piece of leather to the size of the cotton/fluffy (don't know the word right now hehe) part of the doorpanel and put the leather on top of it.
Spray glued it to tighten it, and let it dry.
I think it looks nice, but doubting if it's nice enough (and maybe then order the pieces of the executive with leather maybe).
Also I am in contact with a guy who can make the entire interior leaher.
Seats and side panels I mean then(for now)
Also yesterday the exhaust was welded under my car.
(removed the mid pipe/damper with a rvs steel pip)
The sound has improved, but I'm not happy with a resonating sound in the back pipe(due to there is some more pressure there now)
So I'm thinking of changing the back pipe too very soon, for a nice and appropriate growl.
Pics will come in tomorrow:redface:

I have been working for over 7 years now at a local Hyundai dealer.
So I know how all the hyundai's are being made (and torn apart haha)
Also I have done almost everything myself on my previous car(scoupe all done up) so it's in the fingers hehe.
Can't wait to get my XD2 hooked up:abovelol:

Yesterday I mounted my AEM CAI.
The sound is great, don't even need to change the exhaust tip any more.

Made one doorpanel with leather, the red will go away and some neon wire will come in place for some (dimmed) background lighting

So.
Got the eye brows in, painted and stuff, so they will come on this week.
So I decided, before I put on the eye brows, I have to get rid off the ugly orange reflector in the headlight.
This weekend I had a car from my work, so the XD2 was standing there.
So I took out the headlights and took em home
Then I looked up the DIY and took my dad's old paint burner(used that before when I did my custom taillights on the scoupe), and got into heating the units.
Took me about 2 hours to do the both of em, and I must say, it looks a lot better this way.
Tomorrow, I'm going to put em back in the car, and later this week the eye brows will go on.
During:
http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/7/web/2863000-2863999/2863148_14_full.jpg
After:
http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/7/web/2863000-2863999/2863148_13_full.jpg
(Took the pics with my new phone, nice camera I must say..)
And mounted them.
Before:
http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/7/web/2863000-2863999/2863148_5_full.jpg
After:
http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/7/web/2863000-2863999/2863148_15_full.jpg
Put chrome look bulbs in it which flash orange(nice sight)
Now up to the eye brows:redface:

Finally got some time:
Took the dashboard out and gave it a new colour.
http://memimage.cardomain.com/member_images/7/web/2863000-2863999/2863148_16_full.jpg
Also mounted a carkit in the car(hate the place and how it looks, but it was the best/easiest option)
http://memimage.cardomain.com/member_images/7/web/2863000-2863999/2863148_20_full.jpg
Also took out the grille for some custom work.
http://memimage.cardomain.com/member_images/7/web/2863000-2863999/2863148_18_full.jpg
Took out the lower 2 vents and busy with grinding and molding.
(not too much time tho, so updates will come after the weekend)
http://memimage.cardomain.com/member_images/7/web/2863000-2863999/2863148_19_full.jpg
http://memimage.cardomain.com/member_images/7/web/2863000-2863999/2863148_21_full.jpg
Not sure which colour I'm going to paint it.
I'm keeping the chrome I think, but doubting for silver with the rest of the car(which will look great I think) or keep it flat black.
Any ideas?

Hey Stevie.
Sidemarkers came from a Tucson.
Floor mats, still haven't looked, sorry man, will go and see monday at work.
I asked this week for a price for spring.
35mm in the front
20mm in the rear(nice lowering I think)
Will be about 170 euro, so perhaps, we can go and lower both our cars soon.
@Optimo, nothing too fancy with the grille, just nice and clean
@Yood
Also a nice grille, but I wanted to have it a little bit more open then that.
Furthermore, haven't done anything to the grille, cause I hadn't had any time this week, maybe tonight a little bit of sanding

Last weekend I performed small maintenance to my car.
New oil+filter and sparks.
Today I got in the mood, so I took out my tail lights.
Taped the red parts of the light and tinted it with red backlight spray.
I think it looks very nice, with hardly any difference in colour.
