First day of class

So, I gotta go to my first class today (it's a week later than usual for some reason, I don't know why). Anyway, the class is English 332: Intro to Film, so hopefully it's as fun/easy as I'm hoping.

There are only two things that are good about going back to school.

1. Not waking up at 7 AM to go to work.

2. Lots of good looking girls to look at (don't tell my girlfriend, ha).

How's everyones classes so far?

Ugh, school again. I have Religion and Intro to Computer Programming with C++ on MWF and TTH I have Microeconomics, Legal Aspects of Business, and Business Statistics 2. On top of working 40-45 hours a week. I love it when school starts again. :(

All my classes are pretty cool so far though, I only have to go to Stat 2 next and I'm done for the day. The funny thing is that half the class is the same as when I had it last semester because we all had to withdraw. At least I'll know some people LOL

i withdrawed from school, to better my job status since i found it hard working from 7-4 in the fbi building then headin to class that didnt get out till 10:45 pm uggg

I start on Thursday. Actually I have to be at the three schools I go to tomorrow for a bunch of meetings and planning. It will be a bit different going to three schools instead of staying at 1. I won't have an actual classroom, but will be seeing the kids and making sure they are in the right program.

Why did you have to withdraw?

Because I failed the first 2 tests and so there was no way for me to pass the class. Instead of failing it and having it bring down my GPA I just withdrew from the class and now I'm takin it over. So I didn't HAVE to but it was in my best interest. I still went though to get all the notes and stuff.

You gotta love it when the Professor says "This is going to be your easiest class this semester." Well, I kinda hoped it would, and she said it would, so that's good for me.

Tomorrow I have History 499: The American South (Senior Seminar) and History 388: World War II. The thing is that they are both two hour and forty minute classes, so basically I'm in class from 4:30-10:00. Good thing Wednesday night sucks for TV.

You are right about that. I would like to go back to pursue something else, but it's difficult to do so right now.

haha if your scared bout your 1:15 class, i have 2 on mon + wed 1hr50min, 1 on tues+thurs 1:50 and 1 on friday 4HOURS, god its painful shoot me now

i think i have everybody beat....i'm working 40hours 4-12am....have my intership at 9am-1pm on mondays and fridays and i have class everyday starting at 2pm....going until 4pm....the classes are....my intership class, rationalists, philosophy of politics, Individual testing...i get to give people iq test and give people the mmpi II!!! how fun! ....i finally graduate in december i cant wait!! :D

i forgot to mention that the majority of my hours at work are on the weekend!...8am-4pm on sat....and 8am-12am on sunday....then i start the week off on monday! yeah its a little hectic....if only i drank coffee

Yeah I hear what you're saying. I work retail so my hours change all the time, and because I work in the biggest mall on the east coast, especially around holiday time we could be there cleaning up till 1am, then having to get up at 6:30 the next day to get to an 8:00 class, it's definitely not easy. I spend a lot of time in my car though, my drive to and from both work and school can range from 30-45 mins depending on traffic each way. I don't drink coffee either, that is why I love Mountain Dew. :bowdown: LOL I think it's like the only thing that keeps me going. That and kit-kat bars. mmm. lol

But hey, when it's all over we'll be makin the big bucks.... right? :confused:

yeah mountain dew is my friend aswell...too bad with trying to make babies i'm not able to drink it! so i dont have anything to drink to keep me up!!! sucks! nothing like mountain dew and salt bagel :bowdown:

This is the first time since '99 that I haven't taken a full courseload on top of full-time work (only because I only have two classes left before completing my degrees). Both are three-hour classes.

Class one: Cost Accounting - Prof is one of those nervous types, and she promised the class would be fun. How that's possible in accounting is beyond me. No *** in the class.

Class two: The Ethics of Life and Death (aka required religion class). I'm supposing I'll be making the "hand job gesture" during most of the lectures. Girls outnumber guys, 2 to 1, but still, no ***.

Oooh yeah. Mountain Dew doesn't help in the baby making department now does it. Well in that situation I would substitute either Pepsi or Lipton Iced Tea... Sweetened, No Lemon. LOL But under no circumstances can you leave out the chocolate. Must... have... chocolate... :tongue:

Try this:

I am in the process of getting my Ph.D. in education, work 5 days a week a minimum of 8 hours a day, but usually turns into taking my work home and spending another 4 hours at home working, Because my job requires me to update my certificate, I spend more time in a workshop or class that my Ph.D. courses do not cover, which takes away from what I need to be doing in the school.

September to June is my working months. If you think I get 3 months vacation, forget it. I have spent a lot of time in classes during the summer, plus have to plan the year on my own time. This year was slower than usual because I did find time for bordom.
