Alright. Background info.
I work as a Food Service Supervisor, part-time, for a local movie theatre. Been there for almost 4 years now.
On my last shift, here is what happened.
It was a very calm night, and as usual, I had nothing to do but to walk around and joke with people. So I decided to do some maintenance work. As I was changing a neon bulb in one of the stockrooms, one of the kids working in the Operations (note, not my sector) asked me for help to kick out someone who was causing trouble in a theatre. No problem. I like doing this.
Apparently the guy, his wife, and kid, came to watch Halloween. For those who don't know, it's a 16+ movie, which means NO ONE under 16 can enter, even accompanied, and we are REQUIRED BY LAW to make sure no one does this. Apparently the dad somehow tricked the system to get tickets (purchasing form different clerks), because normally right there we would stop it and tell them they can't get them.
Anyways this guy (tall latino) apparently came with his family, and yelled at the person checking the tickets (15 year old girl) and went inside of the cinema room against the checker's will. That's when I came in.
So I went inside with the guy who called me up (i guess too chicken to kick him out himself), and as soon as I get next to the person in question, he gets up, and starts yelling his lungs out to me, and starts to push me.
I yell, ''Sir, you're going to have to calm down at once''
He says ''what chu gon do punk? are you his backup? (pointing to the guy who brought me there)'', and he proceeds to throw his hamburger at me.
I calmly ask him to come outside the cinema not to disturb other people and to settle things.
At this point, his ***** of a wife started threatening me, and I started laughing.
She said ''I want to see your supervisor right now so I can get you fired''
To which I say ''I am my supervisor, what are you going to threaten me with now?''
''I know your boss!''
''Is that true? What's his name?''
And she proceeded to give me the stupidest, most snobbish insult ever: ''Have you ever wondered what it feels like to be slapped with a big stack of 100$ bills?''
I swear guys, I started laughing so hard it wasn't even funny.
The husband started getting more intense and yelling insults at me, saying he wanted a refund for his hamburger.
At that point my manager came and asked what's up.
I show him that the guy threw his hamburger at me and is trying to illegally watch a movie with his son under 16.
Manager ''go finish changing your lightbulb''.
So I go do that, come back 2 mins later, and see the couple kicking garbages and doors as they are getting thrown out of the theatre.
Now:
1- How can you be such a dumbass?
2- How can you AND your wife be such a dumbass in FRONT OF YOUR CHILD that happens to be around 10 years old?
3- How can you kick **** around and expect us to take you seriously and professionally?
4- How do you go around living a normal life and having a normal job with a temper like that.
By the looks of it and the comment that whore made, he was probably her pimp taking her out to justify her ****ty pay. He had the bling to go with that profile aswell. And the kid, well, since he didn't look like he cared about him, I really feel bad and wonder who's son it was.
Well, feels better now.
 Dumb people.

but the comment/question she asked is classic. Dont know what the hell thats supposed to mean, but i like it.

If you wanted to be a prick you could have him arrested for assault with a thrown burger. A buddy of mine sold concessions for the Flames and a drunk guy tossed a hotdog at him while the cops were around the corner. The drunk guy was being loud and obnoxious and my buddy wouldn't sell him another beer. As a Saddledome employee they're instructed not to take any abuse from customers and to press charges if anything happens, so the idiot was charged with assault.

So we're all a bunch of idiots because we think its an extremely stupid idea to try to antagonize an already pissed off customer into violence? So we're a bunch of idiots because we don't think murdering an angry guest is a good solution? Interesting logic there.
Besides, the best way to REALLY antagonize angry guests is to be ultra polite and courteous to them...because usually that flusters them beyond belief.

I was out on a date once and overheard the guy at the next booth telling his daughter "this is how we save money while eating out" after *****ing at the manager about his burger being too well done. I than watched the guy leave in a Lexus. What a jackass.

Yep, I love doing that to people.
A bit off topic, but on a similar vein: There was a woman behind us on a plane with her 2 year old daughter. She didn't belt the kid in during landing -- I knew 'cause I could see her daughter standing on the seat during landing at the window and looking out!
After we landed and the seatbelt light went off, I stood up, turned around and said "Excuse me, mam, but you didn't have your daughter belted in during landing. Do you know that takeoff and landing is the most dangerous time of any flight? All it would take is one good bump and your daughter could have gotten seriously hurt."
To which she replied "You're not the father, it's none of your business!"
I figured she'd act like that, so I was prepared. My final statement to her was "Excuse me for showing more concern for your child than you do."
Several other people saw or heard the exchange and told me afterwards that the woman was a jerk.
The bottom line is this: That customer in your theater was an ***, and I'm sure the other patrons saw how you handled it and applauded you for keeping your cool and acting professionally. I know I would have.

kylemorg: what's sad is that I have no future in the company so I don't really care about what the bosses think.
If I get promoted again I would have to be ***. manager coming in with a suit daily... to work at a movie theatre... yeah right! Part of the fact I like my job is that I can grab my clothes with me at school in my bag and just slap my shirt on and go without worrying about how I look... but then I would have to have a clean suit and shoes, bla bla bla...
But I know what you meant ;) I guess it's good to have a good rep where you work, even though mine is probably trash by now (that has a story of its own, ha).

OK. . . Pete's mom and the movies:
Wife and I went with a couple friends to watch "Death to Smoochy" with RObin Williams. Very dark movie, IIRC it was rated -R. So we're watching it and this chick comes in, chatting to her friend, pushing her stroller with an infant, crying and her 3 year old running and screaming through the movie. After about 45 minutes of this the 3 yo falls in front of us and starts wailing. Mom never moves. My wife looks over to me and whispers "Great Parenting there" and rolled her eyes. THis lady, not hearing her own child wailing, hears my wifes comment. She stands up, and screams "what did you say?" in her best white trash speech.
So we're all dumbfounded at this point. We look at each other and shrugged. She says again"What did you call me bi**h? You want to take this outside? huh? Let's take this outside. "
Of course, me, being the typical smart azz says "now THAT'S a role model". She's fuming, and cussing and throwing a fit when the Theater people come in and escort her out. As she was leaving many people in the theater were clapping!
Ah. . . nice to see that our youth has great role models.

Yeah, I agree. Most of the people in my major (recreation, Park and tourism management) are a bunch of ****offs who do nothing. I picked the major because I like that sort of business. Everyone else did it because they figured it'd be easy. Every time a major project is introduced in classes there is groaning and whining about it.
