well...looks like theres a chance my car wont be getting fixed for a couple weeks

my work decided that they were going to f- up my paycheck, NOT pay me for the holiday, AND leave out about 10 hours of OT.

i thought i was gonna be cutting it close with what i thought my check WAS going to be, but if they dont get me a check within the next couple days for what they didnt pay me, i probably wont have it until 2 weeks from now.

****ing BS

Well, you know, that's what happens when you tell everyone how great your job is.

I can kind of relate though, at my old job we were never sure if we were going to get paid on time or the right amount. It was like playing Wheel of Fortune (I'm not sure that analogy makes any sense, but oh wells).

That really sucks Evan. I know how it is to get screwed on a paycheck. It hasn't happened in quite a while, but when it does...

I remembered when I worked for Acme. I got hired before the new store opened. 2 weeks later, new store opens and like 6 employees didn't receive paychecks for like a month. I was one of them so I was forced to fill out paper work and get my money on the spot. I forget what it's called, but they take the money given to you out of your paychecks when you do get them....sort of like a loan? I think in NJ you have to pay someone for their duties by a certain time. Man was I getting pissed after 2 weeks...after that I made sure all my stubs, salary increases were there. Also made them backpay me for my salary increases. The only good thing that came out of it was for some reason union dues were never taken out for a year. Also before someone says.. "how dare you about the union". I love unions, but I was 17, am under my parents insurance and never needed the union.

I am gettin ****ED outta my paycheck right now. My boss had changed or week ending day from thursday to wednesday. But nobody thought to tell me :angryfire I mean a small company with 3 full time employees and 2 part timers the chain isn't that long. So i get a note from the boss this morning in my box but no paycheck. So i call him up to see what the deal is. His reply: " I have your check with me I'll drop it off at the shop later" Okay no problem I can wait til' then. So i traveled back to work a 14 mile drive one way. get my check and head over to the bank(not my bank just the bank it was drawn on because mine closes at 5) they can't cash it!!!!! WTF????? I ask why? Its dated for next weeks pay period ending the 20th. So i call the boss back no answer at his office, home or cell phone. So i left him a really not so friendly message about my displeasure. Now i'm waiting for him to call back and we'll probably get into a phone battle and i'll probably be unemployed come monday morning.

Bad things come in groups of 3 man. Anything else you were depending on coming soon? That does suck, but figures at the same time.

well, i talked to someone and she said that i had to have 8 hours or more to get a live check cut. she sorta explained it to it coming out to 7.93 hours. i was pissed

so i start looking...instead of being paid OT on a 72 hour biweek (since -8 for the holiday), they paid it out for an 80 hour week. so i was missing 8 hours of OT, or 12 hours regular. well, since it came to 12 regular hours, i should have a check cut by wednesday. hopefully it comes through

we'll see
