I realize most of you have voided this a long time ago :) but what needs to be done to the car to keep the 100k mile warranty? How about the 60k mile bumper to bumper warranty. There seem to be some people that believe the dealership must perform all oil changes, scheduled service etc. to keep it valid. These are the types of things I like to do myself, nor do I have the time to drive all the way to the dealer to do, what is the truth? Thanks.

As long as you have proof that all Required maintance has been done per the book. i.e. you have receipts for 13 oil filters (13 x 7500 = 97500miles) and the oil to go with it and 3 air filters (3 x 30,000 = 90,000 miles) and so on for each item in the book you will be covered.

It really depends on the dealer. Mine doesn't care about anything. If it's within the 5yr/60k, it's all covered. If it's in the 10yr/100k, the powertrain is covered... period. As far as voiding the warranty, they really don't do that. Now, if you take your car in with a busted muffler, and it's a Magnaflow... well, they won't cover that. But if the TPS goes out and you have a CAI, they'll fix it. You really aren't going to void the entire warranty of the vehicle unless you do a Delta swap or something. :)

So as long as I follow the book to the "T" and have all the receipts I can do my own work huh? Well that is good news, thanks.

The dealer local to me decided to tell a female friend of mine that her intake voided her entire warranty. A month later the exact same rep told fixed my EGR issues with no questions asked...and I also had an intake.

They get away with what they can I guess.
