spent the morning replacing my rear brake pads and painting the calipers..

still need to install rear strut bar and rear sway bar..
and replace radiator hoses and do an oil change...
oh and re-install my catch can and install a mini one on the breather line..

SO... if you're in the area.... and can get to Dale City sometime within the next hour or so...

I can hook you up with

Cases of Wine Coolers (many flavors.. 24 packs ea box)
10" Audiobahn subwoofer (have to follow me to fairfax to pickit up)
K and N panel filter
Evofusion Axle Back Exhaust (have to follow me to fairfax to pick it up)
Several 2 Liter bottles of soda (i have like 30 here at the house)..

I'll be back after lunch to see if anyone wants to help me.

Thanks,

- Ed

beautiful day. sun is shining.. cool breeze is blowing.

(sigh).. screwed up my rear strut bar install. rounded the nut.. so i'm stuck with out a strut bar until i can figure something out.

didn't install my wheels... they rub on the stock elantra perches... so i'm going to have to wait until i get Tib Ultra sports.. or whatever..

Well, first you make sure you use a wrench that's too big, worn, or not on the nut straight, and then...

the socket was too small.. well.. the bolt was too long.. and the socket only contacted 1/6 of the bolt.. and that ended up rounding.. and pushing brass to the edges.. which only grew more and more round after trimming the top of the bolt down to fit the socket...

and now the whole thing is round.. it was a 12mm socket. 13 was too big.. 11 was too small. 12mm worked fine for the first nut i removed. .. just not that one.

CYPHER - if we go to this meet in Columbia.. or wherever it will be... and you can help me get my strut bar.. or sway bar... or hell... install any one of the many things i need to install..

the exhaust is yours free.

hells yeah i can help out with those. Only thing I would be concerned about with teh swaybar install in a parking lot or whatnot is if we'll be able to bust the endlink loose because it gets stuck on there pretty good.

radiator hoses are easy its just "burpin" the system that can be a pain sometimes.

its yours.

this is the cat back exhaust that Vahyundai (Eric) used to have.

I never installed. it.. I have the flex pipe section too if you need that... (missing the second section... never got it from him)

If I can dig it up, I have a nut splitter you can use to crack the rusted nuts off.
