Well, I'm finishing up the last of the interior changes for my car, and I'm rather uncertain which shift knob to get for my autotragic. I'm trying to keep it cheap while also looking to make it look nice. To that end, here is what I'm considering:

1. Elantra GT leather shifter- I know it will fit. I just need to find one cheap. Anyone have one they want to get rid of?

2. Grand Prix GTP knob. Its the upper right hand style shown here. I will have to do some work to make it fit properly however.

3. Depending on the build material of one of these, powder coating one smoke gray might be an option, provided I can find the proper inner diameter

4. this one looks nice too...

Thoughts? I don't plan on spending much on this thing, but I need it to finish out my interior modding.

I like the original best, it fits your hand better, and is more conformable to grab.

the Acura, GM Olds/ Cad. would just degrade the car.

yeah, my apologies but honestly, I don't like any of the choices.

yeah i agree the spectra 5 knob is a pretty nice one. Plus you can rely on fitment. Also my sister has a gtp grand prix that is totalled and (nevermind i called her and she just got rid of it). But yeah checkout the kia knobs.

I am going to agree with Ilan, and Slyderdai. I like the spectra knob.

If you're looking for the OEM GT leather-wrapped one, the 01-06 Santa Fe has the same one on the GLS trim or better.

That's what I put in my car, and changed the black plastic button to the chrome one.

hmmm i am havinf the same issues. The only issue with the smaller ball tyope knobs, is that you have a bunch of metal below the knob.
I am going to the kia dealership this weekend to chck into knobs lol

Let me know what you find out in terms of price. I'm pretty tempted by this.

UPDATE: Found a leather wrapped GT knob in a junkyard about a month ago. Need to get off my rear and install.

Is the shaft on an automatic transmission at most 15mm so i can take some measurements of other knobs. Sorry if this is in wrong spot couldn't find a more appropriate location.
