Tsb # 04-01-003

I took my wifes car to the dealer this morning for the fuel valve recall, and they told me there is a fuel pump recall also, and referenced this TSB # 04-01-003. They did both along with the one for the Warm ambiant cold start stumble. I looked on the Hyundai USA website to find the TSB for the fuel pump and didn't see it. Exactly what was the problem with the fuel pump, anyone know???

Maybe they made it up so that would give them enough time to install a GPS tracking device in your car. :D

Very funny. I just called the Dealer and asked them what was wrong with the fuel pump. They said it can fail under hot conditions, and have to install an updated pump. So you might have to do this too. While they are at it, they can install a tracking device in your car..... :D

Hmm... good to know. I'm going to take my car into the dealer soon to have them take care of every TSB and recall that applies. With as many TSB's as there are, I'm thinking that might take them awhile.

I like handing the dealer a printed out TSB and sayin "fix it." I have to do this for my Santa Fe's shift 'bump' when first starting. My fiance took it in and they told her it's normal during a break in period. So now I get to take them the TSB and whack the tech over the head like it's a rolled-up newspaper. They're so dumb. All it takes is effort. People suck.
