I just bought an 01 XD from a local old man for my 15 year old cousin. I think I got a good deal, $2700 with 47,000 miles. She loves it....lol.

WTF!!!! I need an 01-03 elantra w/ low miles! How'd you find it? did you threaten the old man with a beating?
I guess it is reasonable for me to find an 01-03 with under 60K miles for around $5k then.

i wouldn't mind an extra if I had the money to buy and drive while I build my current one up.
but as it is my Dad has an '06 blue GT hatchback that if I needed to I could "borrow"

That's a killer deal. The warranty is still useful at least for 11k more....at least that's what I believe....right?

I was thinking of the same thing.
Better be careful out there.
Great deal on a low mileage car though. Bet it was well maintained and garaged. Might want to swap fluids though.

I paid $6,600 last June for my '01 with 43,000 miles.
Before you say anything, I'm working full time and going to school full time. My '85 Volvo with 210,000 miles left me stranded twice in one month, $300 fuel pump the first time and snapped the timing belt the second time. Great car but was at that time when anything (expensive) could wear out. I don't have the time or money for repairs.
I couldn't afford anymore repairs, and found someone who would finance me despite my lousy credit history. They even gave me $1400 for the Volvo and towed it from my house, so technically I only paid $5,400 for the XD.

I was 13 with a license....(couldn't drive more than 100 miles from residence...lol). You can get your license when your 14 here....13 if you live on a farm...ha.
