Hi everyone,
Just joined your forum. I don't have an Elantra but do have a Beta II powered Hyundai. I have been reading the Elantra forum for a while, you have a lot of good info on the Beta II and forced induction that has been a big help with my car.

You're right, it's an 05 GK Beta II with an Alpine SC kit on it. Didn't know anything about Hyundai, just saw the Tib and liked it. I was impressed with the quality Hyundai puts into their cars. I got the I4 for the gas mileage as it is my daily driver. I have had it for about 2 1/2 years and it's got 50,000 on it.

I was happy with the good mileage for about two months and then wanted more power. I did some internet research and found the SC kit, then found Fordfasters story on here. After reading his account I bought the SC kit. At first I couldn't believe I was thinking about taking a perfectly good, brand new car apart. Got over that pretty quick, installed the SC kit and have been playing with it ever since. It is the most fun car I have ever owned, I started driving in 1962 and have had some pretty neat cars over the years.

The Elantra forum has much more experience with the I4 and has been a great resource for mods to the drive train.

I owe you guys a big thanks for all the info I have gotten on this forum.
