Because you have to see how the trial and error of running a forced induction application is James, especially on a daily driver. When everything is working in sync, it's a beautiful feeling, but when small things go wrong on a day to day basis, you will soon understand why you should of stayed N/A.

Dude you're like the only one left at the moment with a turbo on his elantra, you should be proud if anything else.

Once things stop breaking though the setup is good and pain free. I recently blew the coolant return line from the turbo so I had to take the water cooling off the turbo.
Other than that my kit has been pretty easy to maintain, regular NA stuff...check the oil, change it once in a while...check coolant...you know the stuff

I already understand. I accidentally cross threaded my oil drain yesterday, and work closed and kicked me out so I HAD to drive my car to a friends house. Oil everywhere. RTV doesn't work unless you give it time to dry apparently ;) Long story short I was having a panic attack the rest of the night in LOWES trying to find the correct fittings to replaced what I ****ed up.
I don't plan on taking it back apart unless something breaks, lol.
but still,
wtf.

talk is cheap. don't make statements and then not come through with them. If anything, keep your mouth shut until you've finally got the parts on hand and its coming soon

why were you messing with the oil drain at all and why would you do it when you're about to have to leave? thats just stupid on you. Do it once, do it right.

I was installing my turbo gasket and water lines, I had to remove the downpipe/manifold/turbo assy to put it in, during re-installation I got stuck on putting the charge piping on the turbo because there is no ****ing space when the turbo is pointed downwards. I spend 2 hours trying to get it on....then I had to do the drain line and being that is bent in such a way where you can't thread it on correctly without stretching it and forcing it into place...well, I was rushing and I cross threaded it. Then work kicked me and my friend out (and he was only half way done lifting his jeep....) so I had to go to a friends house with it dripping oil. So I used some RTV for a temp. seal but it didnt hold well. I didn't loose crazy oil, but it was dripping at a constant rate all over my downpipe.
But it's fixed now so no freaking worries ! (and i still haven't hooked the water lines to the hoses...just to the turbo)

Yo if you guys meeting up in NJ, drop me a PM too. If I'm not working I may meet up with you guys even though I don't got a turbo, would be interested in seeing the work involved in it. And maybe you can help me out with a few things;) ;) (just a clutch valvecotomy and swaybar).
