Tiburon Steering Wheel

I'm buying an '05 Tiburon steering wheel from TheWorst, but we're not 100% positive if that airbag would work or if I need to get an older airbag. Anyone know?

If I'm correct, the 03-04 airbag works with the 01-04 XD. I know that the 05+ XD uses a airbag with a one that is from a different vendor and has a different computer coding, at least that is what Equus told me when Silet was thinking of putting his 03 GT seats into his 05 GLS. I would assume the steering wheel airbag would be the same.

Once you get it and plug it in, and if there is a light or code, the above is the reason why you got the code and light.

I'm going to buy the wheel no matter what, I just wanted to check if the airbag would fit. I'm going to go ahead and buy wheel and bag, if it won't work I can always sell it. :)

You can always get an older GK airbag.

Evan had a Tib wheel in his 03, but I forget what year the wheel was from.

thanks for being the guinea pig, i've got an 05 and have been contemplating putting the tib wheel too but haven't got confirmation on which airbags will fit.

What does yours look like? I was just going to paint the red, but if you have one that isn't colored I'd be all for that.

he has a black on black leather wheel, i saw it in person....both in his trunk and on the tib it came off of. Came off a 03 tib that has like 16k miles on it and sat in a garage for 4 years. it's in like-new condition

Ok, so I'm going to send my 05 Tib wheel to Justin, and he's sending me his 03 Tib wheel. Which airbags will work in which, because I'm still just as confused as before.

Like Justin said..it may be nicer, but I don't have any red in my car.

And I don't care if I get a Tib wheel without stitching..it's still better than my Elantra wheel with the top of it cracking away.

just to be clear...the 03-04 gk wheel/seats bolt right up to the XD...the XD2 they will not...

they need the newer 05+ gk

i just checked back...the DIY was from april 05, so it was most likely a 03-04 bag
