So all that know how bad it sucks to not have a sound system because it doesn't come in your new ride know it's one of the first things you do. My wife bought the car just over a month ago so I dropped $500 on a new HU and install for her subs and amp, merry early Christmas. Well, since she's not good at waiting, my present came in today and was handed right over, woo-hoo!!:D

Already had the grill, it just needed a new paint job. 2 years of rocks and whatnot hitting the front end did a number on it.

The HID's were something I thought about but after reading everything here about first hand experience, they just sound like too much responsibility for me. When to turn on/off, the audio interference, just not stuff i'm willing to deal with. Next up for me i'm thinking will be some springs.

I got HID installed, but I have got no electrical interferences.
Don't know if there's any difference to us cars, with voltage and stuff from europe cars?

I don't have any problems with my HIDs, either.

Back on topic, Was there supposed to be a cup removal tool included like in the instructions or is it not neccesary for the Elantra? Haven't done it yet but would like to make sure I have everything before I attempt it.

I think so. you'll need to move the white poly bushings on the stock shifter onto the TWM. You can get extra bushings at auto parts stores (I think), but it'll still be a pain without the tool.

You don't need it..but it will make it a lot easier.

Right, that's what I was trying to say. He needs to remove or replace the bushings. It's easier with the tool, but you can do it other ways.

Thanks guys, but i'm a jackass. Looking at the pic in step 12 of the instructions I assumed the punch was the tool. I didn't realize it was actually the washer looking piece that was sitting in front of me the whole time.

They're on the TWM webpage attached to the elantra shifter page. The pic just wasn't detailed in explaining which part was the cup removal tool. I obviously knew it wasn't the hammer or the vise, but didn't realize a punch was needed for this.

Andy just set the little cup bushing on the edge of his table and hit it down with a hammer. Popped right off.

So it went in today and holy crap that shifter is sweet! I should have done this long, long ago. The hardest part of my install was getting that damn first clip off the front pin (the first step after removing the console), after that it was all gravy.

Makes me wish I had a stick but then again they dont make much for my car. So there probably isnt even one out for my car but no worries I dont have a stick.
