I have one of the origional production run Elantras-built on 5/14/2000
I tried to remove the restricting valve from the slave cylinder this weekend, but found that I didn't have one at all....check it.
I do have a problem with the resistance of shifts though,
So what I did instead was bore out the inside of the slave cylinder so more fluid moves through it...I went from a 4mm hole to a 6mm hole.
The difference is very noticable too! Clutch still feels right and it is easier to shift especially between 1st and 2nd.
I have pics but refuse to work right on this post so I give up.
