Was definitely a great game and realistic in use and feel (cept for the super/nanosuit ) Actually had to pick up the ammo as you go, rather than just walking over it like in other games. Took me about 9-10hrs to finish. Certainly harder than COD4.
Took some shots while playing. Very nice graphics.

Was not easy getting the lightning shot, but odd that i got it in first try.

Entering the ship

Once your inside, it is zero-g with dark passages every which way and your HUD is scrambled, so no way of knowing which way to go, cept against the flow (as far as that takes you  ) eventually it was just trying every nook and cranny and avoiding getting killed.
By these, which came at you from all directions.

Rest is all part of the endgame scenarios. Wasn't able to take pics inside the the freeze sheild, since i was too busy fighting off aliens.

There is still another shot i have to upload of the person you play (in suit of course, but it was a good profile shot.

WOW! I seen the trailers of this game on gamespot.com and it looks amazing, im probably gonna get this game right after i finish playing Bioshock on my pc.

well what kinda pc do you have? mine is kinda old now,

Pentium4 3.4ghz
over 2 terrabites of hd space
1.5 gig ddr 333mhz memory
with 512mb ATI Radeon X1950 pro Agp8X video card.

and so far it handles any of the new games like Bioshock, Medal of honor Airborne and Call of Duty 4 with graphics in the game set to the highest level on everything and the games run very smooth.

I used to have a Nvidia Geforce 5700le 256mb video card before and i could not run any new games so Instead of building me a new PC i just upgraded my video card to the Last most powerful AGP video card made before AGP became obsolete and im so glad i did. now i can play any of the new games.

maybe you also just need a new video card and if you have PCI-express you have more choices for a faster video card than what i got.

^^^I have an old compaq presario latptop. But now that you mention it, My dad just gave me a brand new pc from his office he wasn't using. hmmmm lol, i'll check the specs. for someone that hardly gives pc games a second look I keep seeing this one pop up an awful lot.

BTW, Bioshock is the ****.....I have it for 360 and I can't put it down (besides assassins creed ;)

Damnit, now I can;t wait to get out of work and start playing again :( lol

You know, for someone who supposedly has two terabytes, you would think they could spell it correctly.

Those choises aren't all that critical. The DX10 cards are a lot more, and DX10 has already been ****ed up since MS came out with a DX10.1 that is not compatible with DX10 and all the games are being made cross compatible with DX9 and DX10. So, i'm simply going to get another X1950 pro PCI-e so as to crossfire the setup.

oops i mean terabyte not terrabite. LOL

Frys electronics had a sale on a 1 terabyte HD for 269.99 last week so i couldn't pass it up. I bet this Black friday sale will be even cheaper.

im gonna try to get up at 4am to be there first inline at 5am to finish buying all the X-mas presents, stores get crazy packed with people that day, i hope they have crysis on sale so i can buy it.

so i see u played this in Dx9 mode... which leads me to say that the graphics are great... but still not what they could potentially be, with a DX10 video card.

i plan on buying a new 8800GT. woot

What i'm saying after conversing with some other comp geeks. Is it is not worth it to get a DX10 card. None of the games are going to require DX10 only. AND DX10 has already been pushed down with DX10.1 I also watched a video of DX9 and DX10 Crysis demo and there was very little difference. A little more to the shadows w/ DX10. But if you want to waste your money on a DX10 card, go ahead. I'll spend less for another X1950pro and have better graphics processing.

correct me if im wrong but Don't you also need to have Windows Vista in order to run DirectX10?

Silentwolf

That i do not know.

Pete03GLS

yes, u need dx10 video card and vista for dx10 graphix.

and its not a waste of money, because, for the price of those 2 dx9 cards... u could have gotten atleast one good dx10 card...

your 1950 goes for about 200-250$ which is what the 8800GT goes for... so, whos wasting money here? you are buying out dated hardware.

but im not trying to talk **** or anything so dont get me wrong.. because everything a person buys, will b out dated within weeks or months... so its all a giant waste of money in the end...

i wont be buying a dx10 card until they make the one i want with a dual slot cooler that exhausts the hot air out side of the case. that way i dont need an extra fan in the back of the case.

Got my 1950 for $185. And two 1950s will process faster than one 8800. I am also running an ATI MB which has been feeling like a smoother setup than my Nvidia setup, but that Nvidia MB was plagued with problems. I'm not one to cross brands, so to get a better card than i have right now would only be a HD2900 which go for ~$350.

Comparison of now, my card a Powercolor 512meg 1950pro is only $169
512mb at 256bit
600mhz core
1300mhz mem

a 8800GTS (no GT cards on Newegg) is $299
320mb at 320bit
580mhz core
1800mhz mem

Its hard to compared speeds tho due to differences in the processing, pixel pipelines, et all.
Point is both cards are by standards, outdated. All games tho are coming with DX9 and DX10 capability. Nullifying the need to have a DX10 card unless you just really really want some darker shadows.
Went hunting for info. 10.1 is being made into a update/superset for DX10 cards so they wont be messed up. But until games require ONLY DX10 it certainly dont make sense for me to shell out extra for a DX10 card, or anyone who has a top line dx9 card.

reason i have got the X1950pro card instead of a DX10 card was

1. There where not that many DX10 games out yet.

2. I have win XP and am not ready to move to Vista till all the bugs get worked out on it, maybe after its been out for a year or so.

3. My Pc still runs Fast enough to do what i do on it and runs all current games with my AGP 512mb X1950pro card with graphics on all current games set on high, so i see no reason of getting a whole new motherboard and cpu yet.

4. New hardware is always coming out so i will wait till i have pushed my current cpu to its limit on current software and when my cpu can't run the new software anymore then i will upgrade my current setup. till then i hope i can squeeze 2 more years out of it.

Thats how i am about Vista too.
On my setup, only thing i'll need to upgrade for games, or add on to are RAM, GPU, and HD
