Nice! No worries for my CT travels. Don't hit any of those spots.

Good thing I'm driving to Owensboro, KY for Thanksgiving. I take back roads through southern Indiana to get there, usually never a soul in sight.

In WA state, I would add Tacoma to that, specifically highway 512, highway 7 and I-5 in the Nisqually area. Highway 7, which is right by me is at this time being patrolled for speeders going over 1 mph over. WSP does pull people over everyone who is speeding at 1 mph. Seatbelts at night also is one of the patrols.

I doubt that they write tickets for 1mph over very frequently. a radar gun with a standard deviation of less than 0.5 mph would probably be cost prohibitive, and require frequent testing. I imagine that they'd have a very hard time getting those to stick in court as well.

my wife believes she was caught by camera last night speeding to work. She likes to think the xd is fast. Fast enough for her i guess?

Last year, my business partners wife, who is an attorney at a corporate law firm received a memo from the county and state that ordered cops to issue tickets to speeders going over 1 mph over the speed limit on certain roads that are prone to speeders, highway 7 included. That memo was reissued a month ago and the emphasis patrols will continue for another 2 more years. I guess the county and state got a grant for such patrol emphasis on the particular areas. Don't know how many were contested.

Another trap I found is in every school zone in my school district and another district in my area. Cops in this one district (not mine) use cameras to catch speeders and fines are doubled in school zones.
