random good news thread

with thanksgiving upon us, I am thankful that I have a couple of days off of school (well, not really, since there's a **** storm waiting just across the holiday for me).

but anyway, I've landed an engineering Co-Op (internship) for the spring that pays $3k/month and pays for an apartment (and I really only work 40 hours a week!)

seems like its going to be a great opportunity to get some more experience, so I'll be able to land a job when I graduate.

this semester has been busy, and I'm broke, so it will be nice to put money back into the bank for once.

and, my girlfriend got accepted to the med schools that she wanted, including two in the metro area, so I wont have to go shopping for a new woman just yet.

I feel selfish for making my own thread, so feel free to post good stuffs thats going on with you in here:cool:

im already on overtime for the week, and if i work fri/sat 6 hours each, itll give me about 16 hours of OT for the week...just in time for x-mas

Last day of work until next week. That's good. Got my first paycheck with my raise on it. That was good... I think I'm just going to reconfigure my direct deposits to drop it in my ING savings account - I don't need the extra spending money.

Looking forward to black Friday shopping - my wife and I go every year and just kinda wander around laughing at crazy people, occassionally we buy some stuff, but it's more out of tradition than anything else.

good news for me...

i start therapy on Tuesday.. so I can blame someone else's professional opinion if i get a divorce.

also... my heart is still beating. but after eating a whole vocelli's extra cheese and pineapple stromboli and an order of breadsticks and 2 liter pepsi.... this might change..

Congrats tharptroy. Hopefully the internship leads to getting a job more easily.

Vocelli's is eww (never had the stromboli though).

While everyone is off work for the next four days I'll be working 2 hours Friday (that I asked to), 8 hours Saturday, and 6 hours Sunday. The library is the realdealholyfield. But, on the good news front, my eBay auction is going well, yay me.
