Ha,I just bought a box similar to that one from the Snap-On man. I pay 28 bucks a week. A hair over 3 grand with my trade in.Worst 3g's I ever spent. All that money could have went to my many vehicles. Just remember, the box don't fix cars, your tools do. Swivels are good but the best basic tool ever made hands down is the ratchet wrenches

autozone has some cheap ones for 20 bucks with lifetime warrenty. i'm sure they would break if your rough on them, but thats what the warrenty is for.

We mechanics and their tools. I swear I spend more friggen money on tools than anything else. Not JUST hand tools either. Scan tool=9 grand. Not a universal either.

I likely own stock in Matco and Snap-on tools as many tools I've bought over the years.

It don't matter how many tools you own there are always new ones that you need. You only find that out when it's too late :(

It never ends.

I've actually modified tools to fit the purpose, which I usually have bought in 2's.

i agree....with everything said...you never have enough....

i still need a set of ratcheting wrenches like mentioned...the guy i used to use his tools has all snap on and blue point....they are nice...but i cant bring myself to spend 400 bucks on a set of wrenches....

i need dumb **** like extensions...in all sizes...again a 1/4 extension set from snap on is like 80 bucks...i think i can get a craftsman set for about half that...

i have other stuff from when i worked on the vans like 1/2 inch set from craftsman and other assorted wrenches, ratchets that i have picked up/given to me over the last 15 years...my grandfather gave me his tools when he past..they are all SAE though....

i have also made trips to harbour freight (pittsburgh brand)are decent for what you pay for them...

but yeah....buying all the tools sucks....but a necessity...not to mention they are write offs!!

the guy next to me has a huge snap on box that cost him well over the 15k mark....and i'll be damn if every last drawer is filled with something...

Hell, I bought 5 grand just in extensions, of various sizes and all ratchet combinations, plus a butt load of them for my impact guns.

My paint guns were even more expensive. 1 cost me oer $1500. Of course, you can't have 1 of them. You need about 5 of them, in addition to detail guns plus airbrush guns in multiples. Morgan knockers are also come in various sizes and also are in multiples. Body hammers and vise grips take up almost entire tool boxes.

I have all of my dad's tools, and they are SAE, but they are better than any I've found recently.

hey keyan...its not the size of the box....its how you use it!! and can easily tear apart an XD and put it back together will the tools i have now.

yeah i guess they went under and the dealership is right next door...so we took it over....we have four techs in the pep boys building and four techs (2 lube techs) in the main dept....it sucks for us four in pep boys because we have to walk back and forth to get parts....it sucks!!! but on the other hand....we can have people come and go and we dont have customers staring at us...

sounds funny...but i dont like people watching me...hahah

doo....you have no idea...it will be air conditioned went ventilation built into the ceilings...should be badass!! it wont be down for probably another year or so...from what i hear the city in which the dealership is are kinda lazy and slow about approving new projects.

Ha I feel the same way man.It makes you feel weird.I had the Service Director bring a customer in the shop when I had the Dash out of his Sonata. The customer started snapping about it.I had to replace the defroster vent and he couldn't understand why the dash had to come out

I'm used to having people watch me work on a car. I take the time to explain what I'm doing to the car for the customer if I can.
