Define sense. Some people feel it doesn't make sense to change the oil. Some people feel it doesn't make sense to have a car with under 600hp.
This thread don't make sense

Sounds like something you should have thought about before you bought an automatic.

well, if you think a stick will get you to point a to point b better than a car, go for it
really though, anywhere you look where people are asking about doing a tranny swap, everyone says just to trade the car in. if you can do it without losing your ***, thatll be your best option for boosting
You can still have a turbo.I was just joking. The auto has been proven to be able to hold quite a bit of power.Just make sure you pick the right size turbo because you won't want too much lag.Plus with a auto you will be able to pull a wicked holeshot

no this thread doesn't make sense. Just beause its an auto doesn't mean it can't/won't hold any power. You're not going to "lose" any power by puting a turbo on.
Search please or ask specific questions.

This is the internet. If you don't want people giving funny answers (which I was actually going to post something along the same lines as Evan did), then don't ask questions.

how bout searching for the SR turbo kit? i only know of one member who has ordered it and that was thomas.
Also, if you don't want funny answers than word your quetions/threads intelligently and with some sort of struture. Not in an open and general form such as you did.

Then you should know what you're going to get out of a "forum."
IIRC, the AT is good up to about 200hp, it won't hold up to much beyond that. A small aside about turbocharging though - from what everyone here has reported after doing it; you better have another car because there will be significant downtime/broken-ness with the turbocharger.

with a tranny cooler the stock transmission will hold a good amount of power. More than most people will ever push it to hold

for real. calm the **** down. lets not forget who the noobie is here.
i did say "really though...", meaning the part before that, WAS A JOKE! WOW!
you dont want a dumb answer, dont ask a dumb question...i take that back. there are NO dumb questions, just dumb people to ask questions. take that how you want
you asked if it made sense to put a turbo on an auto, or just sell your car for a stick. i gave you a 100% serious answer and said if you can sell your car and get a stick version without losing your ***, go for it
i dont know what else you want. maybe this whole "forum" thing isn't for you.

see thats all someone had to say was that i might have trouble with the turbo and as for a forum this is the first one ive ever even heard of for elantras ... so what should i expect half jokemakers and the other half who know what their talking about?

This is the internet. If you don't want people giving funny answers (which I was actually going to post something along the same lines as Evan did), then don't ask questions. I too was gonna post soething along those lines about trading my wifes broom to you straight up. But seriously what did you expect with a question like that? you'll get alot of cynicism around here if you ask just general questions without doing your homework first.
