LED type question

ok, im am about to order some led's for my car... and im stuck on the part... where i have to pick between FROSTED light LED's... or FOCUSED light LED's...

i figure i shud get frosted since the light is emitted a lil more widely giving better coverage... but i figured id ask u guys first.

also... do these #194 led bulbs fit into the twist socket thats in the back of the gauge panel??? because i dont c any 194 twist led bulbs...

for now i order 2 of each type of 74 bulb... they had A B and C types... so i got 2 of each... and im hoping i can use them in my HVAC and Gauges.... HOPE!!!!

if i like how it looks after doing this, if it works... ill go and order some 194 led's

The twist socket on the back of the gauge panel is actually a holder for the bulbs.

it would make sense to me to get frosted...

better over-all light distribution, and less of a pronounced "hot spot"

Frosted bulbs might be dimmer than the regular narrow view bulbs.

you both have valid points... but i think if i had to chose... id rather have slightly dimmer gauges... than have those annoying hot spots of light... so ill prolly end up buying a couple frosted leds then

frosted are really dull though, i bought them on accident for my license plate bulbs and i don't know if they will show well in the gauges. you can also use a 74bulb for the ash tray light but it may have to be shaved a little.

good thing u mentioned the ash tray light...

i have a couple red rubber condom caps... that i currently use on my regular 294 bulbs in the gauges... so i had 2... n i managed to put them on BOTH of the ash tray light and cigarette lighter bulb...

so now... my cig lighter is REd and so is the ash tray. looks REALLY good, since the rubber can isnt stretched. gives off a much more RED light, than the 194 bulbs in the gauges do.
