Laptop + car

okay so my dad just bought himself a new laptop, and i was just wondering if theres any soft ware and cables or anything that would enable him to hook it up to my XD or his suzuki SX4.

im not looking for anything specific... just asking a general question if theres any software and usb adapters or something like that out there, for either of our cars, XD or SX4.

so in order to have what u have... i need the laptop, the EasyOBDII software, and the little box right??

how much does it cost, where can i get it? can u do anything with it other than just read stats about the engine n stuff?? can u modify or tune any part of it?

basically you can change the timing, a/f ratio, and other little fun things to your own custom settings... that is if you know what you are doing with it.

you could also get little info like avg speed, fuel consumption, temp, water, boost pressure

think about it, its a computer, it can do anything but have babies in today's society

really? i thought that there was software available to "chip" the car so to speak to run custom settings for the ECM. see, i learned something today

I have the software from www.digimoto.com , it works when it wants to but that's most likely because of my computer skills.
