republicans/christians are just as bad. there's a whole heapload of christians boycotting some "golden compass" movie because its secretly a story about killing god.

and republicans because they cant get funding for a war that was "mission accomplished" 4 years ago.

The funny part is I bet not one of them has ever READ the book.

The plotline about wanting to kill God doesn't even surface until the second movie in the trilogy. Also, the book isn't so much about wanting to kill God for hatred of god but for hatred of how the church uses God as its excuse to torture and engage in all sorts of horrible acts (Inquisition, etc.)
