I am planning on buying this steering wheel.

Has anyone out there changed theirs out? Would the airbag light come on if I do this swap?
Any help is appreciated.

That is a really nice lookin' wheel But if you put in on you WILL have an airbag light. Because you won't have an airbag. I don't know if you can put an ohms resistor in the line to not have one but if you get into an accident the insurance company may reject you claim.

Not "may reject your claim" but WILL reject your claim. It's illegal, and not a smart thing to do. You're essentially disabling your srs system. It's like putting on your Football pads and forgetting your helmet.
If you have a safety inspection, you WILL fail.

thats a really nice steering wheel, but those are for race cars or kit cars, not good for a daily driver.

Thanks for all the feedback. I guess I will hold off on it. My car is the same color blue and know it would look SOO tight. But I will wait and put it on my "weekend" car when I get it. Thinking about a second gen tiburon V6.
Thanks again!

"SOO tight" doesn't put your head back together when you crack it on your steering wheel. ;)

there is a way to do it so ur srs system does not turn off, and to not have an air bag light, but its not worth it, if you are gonna do anything get seats, not a steering wheel.

If you're really keen, you can get a second-hand steering wheel for the tib and customise it so it looks the way you want. You get to keep the airbag and functionality while also getting the looks you want.
Not cheap if you have somebody else do the customisation. Needs a fair bit of time and some skills if you're doing it yourself.
