More than me....I do alot of stuff for the company I work for and only make

BTW I do alot of accounting...sooo I should be making at-least 16-17/h

You have to take into consideration locale when you talk about money. Where you're making $14.25/hr there, we would be making $8.50. but then again 2 acres and a 2200 sq ft house with a 3.5 car garage is "only $200k here.

As for the wife and I's income, we're about $80k this year combined.

Wife & I will combine for somewhere just shy of the six-figure mark. Next year will be the year we finally break that plateau. By myself, I am just shy of $60K/yr. with my insurance opt-out bonus.

I don't make a lot of money at all. Part time, merely less than 500$ every two weeks, but that's part of the game when you go to school full time.

i also am a more than full time student, 16 units next semester so i can get my AS degree in automotive. after that i hope to get a refinery job for shell or vallero for anywhere between 20-45 dollars an hour. but i guess i should have said its 14.25 an hour working anwhere from 24-40 hours a week and being a full time student. my holiday paycheck was $575, wish i made that every week. if i stick with my job i have now for six month i go up to $16/hr. i thought this would be an interesting thread to start and likewise i hope nobody gets too mad and blows this thread up cause then i will just have it closed, which is not what i want to happen.

umm im not really sure but I take home $1534 every two weeks after the tax guy gets his mitts on my money. But if I was to do the math then before taxes I make $2400+/-, I get paid for 24/7 work which is 336hrs every 2 weeks....which means I make a mere $7.14hr.

Now if you think of it as a normal job where I show up and work from 8-4, Mon-Fri, that means I put in 80hrs....that means $30/hr

11.75/hr, but depending on how well i do, i can get decent bonuses. my new job i had a 2300$ bonus check, and i think i got about 1300$ from hourly and OT. after taxes, i got about 2300. lol

this year i should be able to clear 35-36k ish. i know i left my last job at about 23k, and my check today had me a hair over 11, and ive got this month still

i pay 375 for rent (nice havin shaun livin here), 210 for car, 205 insurance (thanks to my 5$ drop with my policy renewing. lol), 60$ cell, 27$ gym (which work will start covering 1/2 my membership in feb), and like 40$/mo for the couch we financed to build up the credit

all in all, if i dont bonus, or have OT, i dont have much to spend on myself. maybe 100-150$/check

So, how *is* that drug business doing? Seriously, after taxes and apartment, you're negative!

Yep. Then add health insurance (comes out of the check), electric bill, water bill, cable/internet bill, cell phone bill, wife's car payment, gas, etc.

Earlier this year I was working full time making over $20 an hour and the wife was working part time. And you'll notice I haven't had any new mods in a LONG time (which means I have been saving all my money). She's graduating grad school next Friday and should have a job sometime in January. So, we've just been using all our previous funds to get through it.

And oh, I forgot, I actually make 3 different hourly wages.

Regular - $14.29. Evening Shift - $15.19. Night Shift - $15.59.

Evening is when you work a shift that starts at 1PM or later and goes until 9PM. And night shift is the hour of 8-9PM (Library closes at 9 some times).

Mine is also in grad school right now. ONly she's going to classes, still teaching her self-contained classroom full of autistic/downs/ED kids k-4. She's usually at work by 6am and gets home abou 6pm most nights. So I feel you on the "no free time" part. Can't say that I xcan agree about the eincome being healthy. . . .

We had been putting back into our savings for several years and her grandparents decided to dole out their inheritence to the grandkids while they were still alive, so that was a nice $4k boost. Since we had paid off the elantra ($275-300/mo) and each class costs about $900 and goes for 3 months-ish we are TRYING to pay out of pocket. . . . doesn't work so well when she takes 3 and during christmas time. . .

OK. . .we're seeing what everyone makes, but what is your allowance? I only get $20/week, regardless of the hours/time/bonus I make, mostly because of the afore mentioned problem.

I'm a grad student and get $20k/yr as a research assistant, with health benefits and free tuition which is a few thousand at least. The good thing is I'm just salaried and not hourly, because my paycheck would vary wildly from week to week or semester to semester. This semester has been more about class than work, unfortunately, so I've only been working about 20+hrs a week which I think is technically the minimum required. No more classes though! The next year or more will be all work, so I'll just be a horribly underpaid engineer.

15$ and hour for dealing blackjack and 20$ for setup before and after parties where I deal. Though, these jobs usually last for a couple of hours every other night during the holiday season, but during some months I work only once or twice. It is a fun job though. I get to talk to people all night and steal their money without going to jail.

Started off in the web & software development industry 6 years ago at $8/hr. I kept with it and now I'm on salary at $75K/year or about $37.50/hr.
