are you brakes/rotors fine? maybe low? also check for any ice or rocks and stuff between your rotor & breaks...

It only grinds when you're turning?

It might be your front CV axle and you just think it's coming from the back.

Check both axle boots for a rip, just to be sure.

Just an idea..

Year of the car, approx milage on vehicle , recent repairs done ? Does the sound frequency increase with speed. With the vehicle moving go into neutral , does the noise disappear or change ?

Could the rear sway bar have possibly shifted so that it is hitting the strut? That would explain how it worsens when you turn when the weight shifts from side to side. Just a thought.

Yes bang on (excuse the pun) , broken sway bar end link. The weight transfer on turning makes it contact the stut. Roughly $75 installed.

If that is the problem the sway bar is scratching up the stut a bit , not really a big deal. Sounds major but its not.
