I live in a very sunny country right now close to the ecuador line , like in the USA here its prohibited to have window tint they just allow it to 25% darkness actually ,But because of the extreme sun I`m worried about damages to the sunroof mechanism and the trim of the undertray , so i was thinking about putting some of that chrome window tint just in the sunroof glass , my car is silver too so it would also look better i think ,now to the question , the tint that already comes in the sunroof can it be removed? is it a film , like normal tints or is it sprayed on or prob smoked glass already ?

what do you guys think ?

I'm guessing it's smoked glass. I don't have a sunroof so I can't say for sure. I'm sure you could tint it but I would be worried about it ripping off depending on how the sunroof moves. People with a sunroof will have to help out with this one.

I'm pretty sure its smoked glass. Most car makers don't use the film b/c it can peel or get damaged easy. So instead of having customers coming back for tint problems they do that. Just go ahead and tint right over it, you should be fine.

sunroof tint isnt usually much past 15% at the DARKEST from the factory, i used to install sunroofs in cars for Ziebart here in the states, and we would have some customers get some 30% tint over the smoked glass and be happy with it...
