Ok guys, I guess its my turn to "pioneer" something. Right now the Elantra is in the garage (mostly due to needing inspection) and while its in a 'warmer' environment then outside, I've decided to throw on the gas hood struts I took off a Sonata at the junkyard.
I've found mounting locations for the base of the struts, that SHOULD work in theory. But the real issue is before I can test them...I need to mount them to the hood itself...which means drilling into the hood.
So far the ONLY time I've ever dealt with metal and a drill, was drilling out a lock at my work. So what should I be expecting in difficulty when drilling into the hood?
