Am wondering if there is a source/site that lists book rates for repairs (I'm in Ontario, Canada) - how long it should take for a particular job, eg. replace exhaust manifold and catalytic converter.
Ppl are entitled to charge what they will - I just want to be a better informed consumer and be able to budget better. :D
Thanks
Kate

what job are you referring to? we can probably give you a good estimate, since theres quite a few techs on here.

I wanted a list for everything - so that I have a ballpark for how long it could/should take - I realize it may take less or more time. Kate

You're not going to find a list like that for free. You'd have to buy a flat rate book, or a subscription for one of the online services.

It doesn't matter if it takes longer/shorter than what the book rate says. You get charged for the book rate no matter what.
