You're going to need to keep the MAF, otherwise the engine won't know how much air is entering the engine.

That pic is the exact copy of what I had on my 02.

You just place the MAF between a pair of couplers after the first section and call it a day. The 04-06 probably just comes with an extra coupler and clamp.

I can't believe you spent that much on a CAI.....I feel so sorry you didn't use the search feature sooner....

Not everyone wants to hack an accord intake on their car. It's easier to just buy an intake that is made for the car. Welcome to the site!!! There is a lot to learn here the search button is your friend.

I am slyderdai on this. I went with a knock off brand from ebay and had nothing but troubles with the welds. Got a Secret Weapon R brand that was "made" for my car that didn't fit right without my having to move the fuse box, which I wasn't about to do. Had to redo the thing myself. I would be willing to pay the money for a part that is exactly right.

cosmo Racing was a perfect fit for $99 shipped. I did pay a "little" more than the $30-40 kits but the overall quality has been top notch and the filter has held up well to the last 5 years of abuse.

Hang in there. You'll catch some flak for asking a question that might have already been answered, but usually someone will also answer your question or post a link to a previous thread that will answer your question.

Welcome to the forum.

Haha funny story- I tried to turn on my car for the first time after I finished my turbo, and threw a low MAF voltage CEL and the car wouldn't start for more than a second!

The cap was on the turbo intake. DURRR!!!1 LOL

But yes you need it.

i dont have a cai, i was going to get one then like 5+ people cut theirs and i wondered why, then i just never got mine heh..

but looking back on it, its a mod i still want, and i would gladly pay some extra $$ for a drop in instead of something i had to modify.

+2 to the above, I just paid $160 for a CAI but not a cheep evofusion intake, I got a quality AEM CAI with dryflow filter, all brand new still in the box. I'd love to take an AEM CAI and an EvoFusion CAI and put them against each other on a dyno.

^ perhaps someone else in your area has an Evofusion one? If there's a dyno nearby, you could actually test each one on your car!

And possibly ARK would sponsor part of the cost of the dyno test if you let them have a copy of the dyno graphs of stock, ARK and Evofusion.
