After reading up on dmdicks post about using a OEM Evolution manifold to be modified. It got me thinking. Why not use an older 420a or 4g63 manifold design and modify it for the turbo needs. Even an OBX manifold will surely flow nicer then the OEM design. Just find someone that can weld Aluminum well, throw on a new flange, weld on a spot for the IAC, and modofy the throttle body some.

Thoughts?

An older 420a or 4G63 intake manifold won't work because they have the TB opening on the passenger side. Stay tuned VERY soon for updated pics of my hybrid setup.

The 420A manifold throttle body opening is on the correct side, just like our cars. I'm going to be getting one and doing some welding soon.

I'm interested to see how it turns out. Good luck you two.

I'm interested too.

With forced induction, you're liable to see some gains. If this was N/A I doubt it would be worth it.

It's tack welded, I just need to weld it together. Perhaps this weekend I will.

Anyone want a EVO VIII Intake Manifold? I have two sitting in my garage. Just pay for shipping. I'm just not going to have the necessary time or fundage to get the job done.
