I just ran across this at the Full size Chevy truck site. I thought y'all would get a kick out of this!

i have a 1997 z71 with a 4" rancho lift kit, 35x12.5 super swamper SSR, pipes and all that and i get pretty bad gas mileage

i bought a hypertech programmer mainly for horsepower and and everything but can it improve gas mileage?

also is there any way i can get better gas mileage?

It's a 6500lb truck, lifted 4" higher, running 35" tires, making it closer to a 6-7" over all lift. 255hp 5.7L V8 and an autotragic. And he wants better gas mileage!

That is just silly, V8 and fuel efficiency never really go hand in hand.

that will all change with the new hybrid trucks coming out, and by 2020 all cars and trucks need to meet a minimum 30-35 mpg.
