I bought a set of rims and tires here in the forum so now I want to sell my stock rims and wheels.

But how do you ship those?
- Put them on a big box?
- Just ship the rim/ tire like if it was already a box with maybe a label?
- Or should I just advertise them for local pick up?

Your advise?

ive had pretty good luck just taking them to the UPS store and shipping them bare. they'll bind them up and stick a label on it. shipped 2 sets like that with no complaints, runs about $100-150.

boxes are an option, but expensive for the boxes.

Local pickup is always easy.

If you're trying to get rid of GT rims, good luck. No one wants to pay more than cost of shipping on them around here.

I would drive and meet you for local pick up if you would meet me half way.

Detroit to Noblesville, IN is about 4 and a half hours. Looks like Coldwater, MI would be a good halfway mark.

How does that work? How do they protect them?

The place i went wraps them in plastic wrap and shipping paper before strapping them together with some sort of nylon tape stuff.

ive done it twice now without any damage or complaints.

You can do boxes too, just get 2 double wall boxes big enough to hold 2 wheels a piece. tape the **** out of it, and you're golden.

OT/ So youre in Charlotte aye? Me too, sorta. 15minutes south in Rock Hill.

Oh yea? I used to live in fort mill/tega cay area. maybe youve seen a silver gt lowered with multispoke wheels and tinted windows?

what part of town are you near? and WOW on working in michigan, thats a serious commute...

If you're in Fort Mill, Take it to the UPS store on 160 next to the Harris Teeter. Theyve always treated me well when shipping big stuff.

The Fed-Ex store will cut out a 15" piece of cardboard and lay that on top of the spokes before they bind them together. It usually works really well. Also, go to the Kinkos store (a large one that has a Fed-Ex shipping center in it) and tell them that the local Fed-Ex guy said to give you 10% off. It works every time!

I started working there recently, my poor car!! it had never seen snow before !

Yep, it's a serious commute, the good news is that they allow me to work from home once a month so I can visit my family here in SC !
